The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...
The System and Arch are optional added filters, for example System could be "redhat", "redhat-7.2", "mandrake" or "gnome", Arch could be "i386" or "src", etc. depending on your system.
To quote 'packet(7)': Packet sockets are used to receive or send raw packets at the device driver (OSI Layer 2) level. They allow the user to implement protocol modules in user space on top of the physical layer. Sockets in the 'PF_PACKET' family get direct link-level access to the underlying hardware (i.e. Ethernet or similar). They are usually used to implement packet capturing, or sending of specially-constructed packets or to implement protocols the underlying kernel does not recognise.
